Drug, Alcohol Use & Addictions

Meeting you where you are, building practical tools for cravings and triggers, and working toward change at your own pace.

Caught in a cycle with substances that's affecting your relationships, work, or wellbeing?

Jeremy approaches substance use and addiction with a compassionate, non-judgmental stance that meets clients where they are in their change process. Through motivational interviewing, he helps clients explore their own ambivalence about substance use, strengthening their internal motivation for change rather than imposing external pressure, and supporting them in articulating their own reasons and goals for recovery.

He integrates DBT skills training, particularly distress tolerance and emotion regulation techniques, giving clients practical tools to manage cravings, urges, and the difficult emotions that often drive substance use, while building a life worth living. Jeremy uses CBT to help clients identify and modify the thoughts, beliefs, and situational triggers that maintain addictive behaviours, developing healthier coping strategies and relapse prevention plans that address both the cognitive and behavioural dimensions of addiction recovery.

Primary modalities:

  • Motivational Interviewing
